In this role you will be responsible for designing new & modifying existing Alstom product test simulators utilizing National Instruments(NI) latest tools & hardware.
These simulators will be used by Validation teams to ensure independent testing of product requirements across the Alstom Digital Mobility Platform wayside and onboard products.Essential Responsibilities Develop & modify existing automated and manual based simulators via NI LabVIEW, VeriStand, and TestStand.
Implement new NI technologies and stay on the cutting edge of test simulation by attending NI conferences.Ensure compliance and evidence of which the sim is developed.
Ensure the sim is archived under Alstom CM control according to certification requirementsQualifications/ Requirements 1-3 years experience developing simulators in NI LabVIEW Familiarity with NI HW products such as DAQ, CompactRIOs, PIXIs, etc.Working knowledge of configuration management and defect trackingAt min bachelor’s degree of EngineeringDesired CharacteristicsLabVIEW certificationExperience with NI TestStand Familiarity with NI VeriStandExperience with Testing Processes, Tools, & AutomationAbility to creatively solve complex problemsAbility to work in a cross-functional, global environmentAbility to engage and build positive relationships with both customers and internal and external employeesAbility to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customersStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsWe believe that a diverse and inclusive workforce is a lever to running a sustainable and successful business.
